The Systems Engineering/DevOps Internship is an incredible opportunity to put your skills to the test and apply your theoretical knowledge in a real-life business environment.

At VSP Vision, we're on a mission to help people see every possibility—and we do that through our strategic business pillars that work together to connect nearly 90 million patients and their health data to network doctors in a variety of settings across the globe. You'll join the Eyefinity Cloud Operations team responsible for Systems Engineering, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering.

As the Systems Engineering/DevOps Intern, you'll have the unique opportunity to partner with Systems Engineering, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering experts and support a dynamic team across its primary functions. You’ll have the unique opportunity to gain a broad range of experience in the many elements that contribute to the daily operations of a multi-faceted enterprise and develop critical business competencies through various tasks. During this internship, you may assist with the following duties:   

Cloud Systems Engineering - Software Build Deployments, Data-tier Application Package Deployments, AWS Console
DevOps - Monitoring/Alerting, Provisioning hosts, Change & Incident Management, Cloud infrastructure
Site Reliability Engineering - Automation, Monitoring & Observability, Performance Engineering

Preferred Skills:   

AWS EC2, S3, RDS
MS Windows
Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and/or JavaScript
Application architecture

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Salary Ranges: $26.50 - $36.50
