Job description

Job Title: IT Project Manager

Location: 100 % Remote (European Union)

Contract Duration: 3 months + option for extension.

Start is ASAP (immediately)

Someone who had prior experience coordinating work of India based delivery would be a plus.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Project Manager to join our dynamic IT organization.

About The Role

As IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and delivering a complex IT project separating mining from Cement.

Your key responsibilities will include defining the scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards for these projects, as well as managing associated risks, issues, and dependencies. You will oversee project teams, vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and governance throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will work closely with business units and support functions to ensure alignment, coordination, and integration of project activities and deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing IT projects, preferably within the manufacturing industry or related sectors. These projects offer high visibility to top management and opportunities to engage with a wide range of stakeholders globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with project management frameworks and quality standards.
  • Control project scope, schedule, and budget to meet project goals.
  • Ensure timely booking of costs by project teams and invoices from vendors.
  • Manage and mitigate project risks and resolve issues for successful delivery.
  • Support fellow project managers and teams.
  • Report project status, issues, and risks to PMO and management stakeholders.
  • Regularly Conduct steering committee meetings and engage right stakeholders in decisions.
  • Document lessons learned and lead continuous improvement, and lead PMO activities.
  • Facilitate collaboration between interdependent projects.
  • Assist stakeholders in defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and cost estimates.

Your Qualifications

  • MSc in Engineering, Business Administration, IT, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years as a IT Project Manager for IT and digital transformation projects.
  • Key strengths: proactive, servant leader, problem solver, structured.
  • Proven in implementing Project Management models, with Prince2 or PMP certifications preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Proficient in project management and requirement tracking tools (Azure DevOps, Jira).
  • Expertise in Change Management and User Adoption.
  • Passionate about project management, able to influence and communicate clearly.
  • Result-oriented team player who leads proactively, with great transparently.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management at all organizational levels, and adept at building relationships.
  • Experienced in leading virtual teams across time zones and cultures.
