eBay, Inc. seeks Manager, Information Security 2 in Bellevue, WA
Job Duties: Drive the Application Security Strategy and Vision for securing eBay Inc. online products. Manage a team of security and development engineers to drive security assessments and implementation of secure products in eBay Inc. Manage the implementation of secure software applications, create new security programs and platforms and solve complex technical issues across all eBay Inc. business units. Manage the development of innovative technical solutions and high-quality secure software products in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including software architects, quality analysts, and product managers. Drive the development and design of secure system platforms with high quality in an agile environment. Estimate security engineering efforts, prioritize projects, plan implementations and solve complex production issues throughout all stages of the software development life cycle. Handle the security approvals of eBay Inc. products and ensure a streamlined process as products are released to website. Coordinate the design and implementation of secure user experiences and features in products that power the eBay website. Manage, mentor and provide technical leadership and performance feedback to a team of security and software engineers. Responsible for securing eBay’s public facing product lines through a combination of detecting vulnerabilities and engineering software security solutions. Conduct web application and mobile security assessments and handle vulnerability remediation of applications. Conduct deep dives into data and analyze for security and fraud anomalies and determine risk based on content. Develop and conduct software application security awareness training across the organization.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Security Informatics, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
(1) Identify possible threats and areas of weakness
(2) SAST and DAST
(3) recommending solutions and tracking remediation activities
(4) accurately documenting system deficiencies
(5) Evaluate technical specifications in Software Development Lifecycle
(6) support application security tools and systems including Fortify and Web Inspect
(7) Securing applications based on various web programming technologies including Java
(8) Create and deliver application security trainings for developers
Pay range: $190,486.00-262,900.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
