Summary/Objective

 

Project managers are responsible for ensuring the timely and costly completion of LPR construction projects by overseeing all phases of the project. This entails working with a variety of stakeholders to schedule and plan work, coordinate equipment, trades and materials, operate within budget, and monitor overall progress. Project managers are at times at the construction site to oversee the work being completed, managing the boots on the ground, and making critical business decisions.

 

Essential Functions 

  • Communicate proactively directly with customers on a scheduled cadence meeting
  • Communicate to Insight internal teams and departments
  • Conduct virtual and onsite surveys for sales proposals
  • Determine and define scope of project work and deliverables
  • Predict resources needed to complete project
  • Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other prerequisites
  • Draft and submit budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Manage costs in order to meet budget
  • Provide direction over contracts and subcontracts
  • Manage construction schedule and activities
  • Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines
  • Select and manage subcontractors, suppliers and the relationships
  • Coordinate efforts across entire project between engineering, subcontractors, and installation teams across the US
  • Travel required-Approx. 30%

Education and Experience

  • 5+ Years’ experience working in a fast-paced Project Management role 
  • 1-3 Years’ experience working as a Field Service Engineer traveling in the United States or International or equivalent IT experience.
  • Associates degree in Business Administration or equivalent education/work experience
  • Previous experience with License Plate Recognition Cameras is required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

 This is a full-time, exempt, and salaried position working the majority of the time remote from home. Days and hours of work are variable and are based on business needs. Overtime is a potential. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

 

Physical Requirements

 This position is indoors. Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.  May be asked to lift approximately 50lbs.   Exposure to moderate noise and light, i.e., business office with computers, phone, printers, light foot traffic. Air Travel is required.
