AmeriVet Veterinary Partners Management is seeking a Director of Operations for Salt Lake City, UT. This is a leadership and support position for our growing family of veterinary practices in Utah.

The Role:
Operations Directors work closely with our Partners, Associate DVMs, and Practice Managers to ensure the smooth operation of our partner hospitals, maximize client satisfaction, promote pet health, build positive sustainable cultures within our hospitals, and deliver solid financial results for our partners and investors.
We strive to be the partner of choice, provider of choice, employer of choice, and investment of choice. The Director of Operations is an integral part of that mission. This role requires a minimum of 50% travel, with occasional overnight stays.

· A strong leader who can influence people to follow good policies and procedures
· A great communicator, both when dealing with Partners, Veterinarians and Support Staff
· A solid negotiator who can represent Amerivet with confidence
· An experienced people manager, who has taken employees through the entire employment process; new hire training, mentoring, and separation
· A leader with a coaching and development mindset who will inspire excellence and accountability
· A client service professional, who can motivate a staff to put patients and clients first at all times
· Adaptable and flexible—open to the great variety of practices and approaches in our portfolio
· Multi-tasker, someone who can manage their time well while managing multiple projects and initiatives


A successful Director of Operations is accountable for:
· The operational performance of the practices in your region
· Implementing initiatives to improve practice performance
· Successfully onboarding new practices as they join your region
· Supporting the practice to ensure they achieve their financial goals


Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or related field
• A background in Veterinary management preferred. CVPM highly preferred
• Proven skills in managing to a budget and adjusting operations to P&L as needed
• Experience leading a growing business with multiple locations (Must have).
• Residing in the region or willingness to relocate
• Bilingual candidates are appreciated

Salary:

  • Compensation for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications, with a base range typically starting around $90,000.00 and up.
