Your Team, Your Impact
Our Automotive Field Applications team is responsible for driving and supporting key design wins for Marvell's industry leading Automotive Ethernet Multi-Gig T1, 1000Base-T1, and 100Base-T1 Switches, PHYs, and more.
What You Can Expect
We are looking for a customer facing, passionate, experienced, and hands-on engineer that will be located in the Greater Detroit Michigan area that will drive uss to greater heights. Our FAEs are expected to have the curiosity and persistence required to take on interesting and challenging issues on a daily basis.
What you will be contributing to:
- Drive and assist the sales team to win key designs with Marvell Automotive Solutions.
- Assist our Sales team through preparation and delivery of technical presentations and statements of work by matching specific client business requirements with effective technical solutions
- Review customer schematics and layout.
- Hands-on bring-up and debug of customer boards.
- Support customer lab and field trials, proof of concepts, and Engineering studies
- Closely follow and check customer technical issues, providing remote and on-site troubleshooting.
- Develop and understanding of the customer application environment and provide insightful advice.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10-15 years of related professional experience.
- Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5-10 years of experience.
- Must live with greater Detroit area
- Relevant experience in applications engineering, board development, or system level design and architecture
- Experience with schematic capture and layout tools.
- Knowledge of Ethernet Transceivers, Ethernet Switching, and networking architectures.
- Knowledge of high speed SerDes (*GMII, XFI/SFI, PCIe) protocols
- Experience with lab debug equipment including oscilloscopes and network analyzers.
- Strong influence and excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with ability to analyze, summarize, and communicate efficiently (written and verbal) in a multicultural environment.
Great to Have:
- Knowledge of Automotive MDI interfaces 100Base-T1, 1000Base-T1, NBASE-T1 (multi-gig)
- Knowledge of a programming language: C or Python.
- Automotive EMC testing experience.
- Automotive experience working with OEMs, Tier 1s, and automotive quality teams.
- Have worked with functional safety analysis, FMEA, and FMEDA.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
129,520 - 191,630, $ per annum
The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
