Role Summary:
Designs, installs, configures, and maintains GTT networks. Provides documentation/project tracking and management reporting. Reviews, plans, and evaluates network systems.
Job Scope/Supervision:
Will interact with Service Delivery, Client Engineering, Engineering, Access Planning and Network Implementation teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain network capacity and resources to include CFA and network ports.
- Work with service delivery and other departments to deliver physical network capacity.
- Work with Engineering, Access Planning, and Network Implementation teams to deliver network growth and network optimization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- 2+ years and proven track record building, installing, and maintaining service provider networks.
- Demonstrable experience in supporting, upgrading, and managing carrier class network hardware, Juniper experience preferred.
- Experience in supporting and deploying POP builds within carrier neutral datacenters.
- Proven cable management skills and experience in working with cross-connect inventory databases.
- A strong working knowledge of general network topologies and standards.
- Knowledge and experience with typical interconnect technologies or methods like Fiber, Cat5, 1/10/100 Gigabit Ethernet, DWDM
- Ability to take complete ownership of large projects and deliver these to a high standard against tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and able to solve technical and logistical problems.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative.
- Juniper/Cisco certifications-desirable

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 based on relevant skills and experience.
