Main Responsibilities
As an Analytics Data Engineer for ISG-Electronic Systems, which designs and manufactures the electronics hardware that makes John Deere equipment smarter, you’ll work to acquire, connect, transform, and evaluate the data generated in our electronics manufacturing and design facilities in Fargo, USA, Torreón, Mexico, and Lonikand, India. Being an Analytics Data Engineer means that you will.
- Make data available – you’ll connect existing datasets that will be used for analytics initiatives by users and stakeholders not only at ISG-ES, but across John Deere.
- Make data usable – you’ll transform data for analytics initiatives and operational needs in alignment with enterprise data governance policies.
- Make data trustworthy – you’ll evaluate and analyze data for trends and outliers, flagging issues that could impact overall data quality.
- Write it all down – you’ll create technical documentation to capture and share data engineering processes from initial work to deployment.
- Be part of the team – you’ll collaborate and work with other analytics data engineers, data wranglers, data scientists, product managers, and IT architects to develop and implement data solutions.
What Skills You Need
- .Understanding of programming languages relative to multiple Data Base Management Systems, specifically SQL
- Programming skills necessary to create and maintain applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Good interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Experience with specific ISG-Electronic Systems digital products (Epicor ERP, Agile PLM, Electronics MES).
- Experience in advanced programming languages (R and Python).
- Familiarity and experience using Data Warehousing.
- Familiarity with AWS and Databricks.
Education
University Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent related work experience
