Cross Domain Solution Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:
Everyone knows security needs to be “baked in” to a system architecture, but you know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your cross-domain knowledge and skills to lead the design and building of secure systems for Navy and tactical weapons systems? We’re looking for a Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) Engineer who can create solutions for the Navy that will stand up to even the most advanced cyber threats.
As a CDS Engineer on our project, you’ll interpret technical guidance, analyze mission requirements, and recommend effective solutions to cross domain challenges throughout the Navy, Marine Corps, and Special Operations. We need the best solution, so you’ll advise on new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You’ll lead the team through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and mission needs. You’ll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like edge computing and airborne sensor data while building peace of mind in a critical capability. Become a senior engineer on our team as we improve cross domain data transfer for the Navy through cybersecurity.
Join us. The world can’t wait.
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience with the design, engineering, integration, implementation, testing, and deployment of the infrastructure, hardware, and software that are required to effectively manage the security and risk posture of cross domain systems and resources
- Experience with Navy cybersecurity, engineering, test and evaluation, or assessment and authorization (A&A)
- Experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) A&A activities, including conducting security control validation, and developing and maintaining system authorization packages
- Experience with the development of Cross-Domain Solution Appendixes (CDSAs) for production systems and the CDSA Phase I through Phase III process
- Knowledge of Top Secret and Below Interoperability (TSABI) or Secret and Below Interoperability (SABI) CDS processes, and developing artifacts that support the CDS approval process for production systems
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Information Assurance (IA), Systems Engineering, or Network Architecture and Design
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with system vulnerability management or security patch implementation
- Experience with the implementation of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) special publications, federal regulations, and DoD policies
- Ability to develop system concepts and apply advanced understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle to translate strategic cyber objectives, technology, and environmental conditions into engineering outcomes and solutions that meet the latest in technical regulations such as Raise the Bar (RTB) initiatives
- Ability to lead the analysis of trends and emerging technology for potential program modernization and compliance
- Top Secret clearance
- Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, IA, Systems Engineering, Network Architecture and Design, or a related field
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
