Senior Video Editor

This is a remote position.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Video Editor and Animator with exceptional expertise in visual effects and animation, capable of creating dynamic and engaging short animations. The ideal candidate is someone with advanced editing capabilities who can bring scenes to life with a level of precision and creativity suitable for a high-end production style. With a demonstrated history in video editing and animation, this person should have the ability to produce short animations reminiscent of high-quality anime, such as Jujutsu Kaisen. They will work collaboratively within a team on projects requiring short (up to 1-minute) animations and effects for media content.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, edit, and animate short videos with professional-level visual effects, emulating high-quality animation styles as shown in top-tier anime.
  
• Collaborate closely with the creative team to understand project requirements, ensuring animations align with artistic vision and project goals.
  
• Utilize advanced video editing software, including Final Cut, Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, to edit and enhance video content.
  
• Design and animate 3D models using software such as Blender, Autodesk Maya, or Cinema4D, demonstrating expertise in bringing characters and environments to life.
  
• Use After Effects, Motion, or similar 2D animation software to add dynamic elements, animations, and effects to videos.
  
• Perform color grading on videos to ensure a consistent and visually appealing look, enhancing the quality and mood of the content.
  
• (Optional) Contribute knowledge in web design to integrate animations into web content.
  
• (Optional) Assist with UI design where animation enhances user interface elements, creating a visually cohesive user experience.
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in professional video editing, with a portfolio showcasing high-quality, anime-style animations or comparable work.
  
• Proficiency with Final Cut, Premiere Pro, and/or DaVinci Resolve.
  
• 3+ years of experience with 3D modeling/animation software (Blender, Autodesk Maya, Cinema4D, or similar).
  
• 3+ years of experience in 2D animation and visual effects using After Effects, Motion, or similar software.
  
• 2+ years of experience with color grading to enhance video quality.
  
• A portfolio that clearly demonstrates animation capabilities similar to anime, with a particular focus on visually captivating effects.
  
• (Preferred) Some knowledge in web and UI design.
