Altamira is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, optimize, and deploy machine learning models. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment, lead experimentation strategies, and maintain high-performing models in production. Stay at the forefront of AI/ML advancements while documenting processes and driving continuous innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deploy machine learning models, collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
Lead experimentation strategies and maintain robust pipelines.
Ensure optimal model performance in production environments.
Document processes and stay updated on AI/ML advancements to drive innovation.

Requirements:

Proficiency in specialized use cases like NLP, LLMs, or recommendation engines.
Strong understanding of ML algorithms and mathematical foundations.
Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG architecture, and agent-based systems.
Prior experience with AWS Bedrock or similar cloud platforms.
Proven track record in solving classification/regression tasks and deploying models.
Expert-level Python skills and experience writing scalable software modules.
Proficiency in Git and collaborative agile development workflows.
Upper-intermediate level English proficiency.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

Experience with AWS services (SageMaker, ECR, EMR, S3, Lambda).
Practical experience with deep learning models in production.
Experience building complex ML pipelines.
Familiarity with distributed systems like Spark or Dask.
Experience with data validation tools like Great Expectations.
