Job Description:

Clinical Psychologist - CYP

HCPC registered (Children & Young adult experience)

UK Nationwide – remote working

Salary: £60k upwards (Negotiable)

Permanent

Part Time hours (flexible but requiring minimum 2x days per week)

We make health happen:

You will accept referrals from our UK insurance business and provide assessment and therapeutic interventions across a range of mental health conditions for children and young people (including interventions with adult caregivers as required) aged between 11 – 17 and liaise with relevant agencies or parties as required.

The service is opened between 8am - 8pm.

You will be required to work a late shift weekly.

 

Working remotely for this role, you will be a first point of clinical contact for Children & Young People. You will provide a high quality, effective and safe mental wellbeing service via MS Teams.

 

You’ll help us make health happen by:

 

  • Providing a high quality, effective and safe mental health and wellbeing service to children and young people using evidence-based practice
  • Delivering comprehensive assessment and formulation that drives an evidence-based intervention for children and young people and their families as required
  • Ensuring an assessment and formulation determines the most appropriate pathway of care and support for the eligible customer
  • Working at an individual and systemic level with differing models of service delivery including telephone or video consultation depending on preference and need

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

 

  • Professional doctorate qualification in Clinical Psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society
  • 1 year + post-qualification as a Clinical Psychologist registered with HCPC
  • 2 years + experience in Children and Young People (CYP Mental Health) / CAMHS services
  • Experience with general adult mental health services and diverse and varied clinical experience to draw upon
  • Safeguarding and robust risk assessment experience with children and young people is essential

In addition, you will be a strong team player, have excellent communication skills, be able to work autonomously and have some understanding or prior experience of working in a corporate business environment.
