Role: Senior Commercial  Manager

Location: London, England, United Kingdom (Remote)

 

About the role: 

Working in partnership with our client, the Senior Commercial Finance Manager and the commercial team will handle all costing and pricing efforts for large or complex deals. This work will involve liaising with business delivery, sales, finance, legal, and implementation teams to ensure that all deals are costed correctly, priced appropriately, contracted properly, and handed over effectively.

What you will be doing: 
  • Understanding and commercial challenge of delivery approaches 
  • Detailed analysis of delivery costs 
  • Commercial pricing proposal guidance  
  • Contractual wording review  
  • Work closely with the finance team to understand and align on the P&Ls of new clients 
  • Support the handover of new opportunities to operations and finance teams 
  • Creation and update of pricing models, including P&Ls and Cashflows (excel) 
  • Senior level presentation of opportunities 
  • Client meetings and negotiations 
  • Managing pitch teams to ensure all the right information is available at the right time 
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues
What you need to be great in this role: 
  • 5+ years of finance / commercial experience 
  • Demonstratable experience in commercial pricing  
  • Experience of contracts review 
  • Understanding and challenge of complex information and recommunication in simple to understand ways 
  • Commercial savvy 
  • Finds solutions to complex problems 
  • Advanced excel modelling skills 
  • Industry experience is an advantage but not essential. 
  • The ability to instill confidence in the senior leadership  
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with ability to form strong working relationships 
  • Clear and concise communicator, to all levels of stakeholders. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player 
  • Someone who seeks solutions rather than just reporting problems.  
  • Pro-active self-starter. 
  • Ability to work accurately with attention to detail 
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Client-side or advertising agency experience 
  • Entrepreneurial business mind with a finance / commercial skillset 
  • Strategic thinker 
  • Flexible and adaptable with proven ability to be successful in a fast-moving ever-changing environment.
