Job Title: IBM Middleware Systems Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled IBM Middleware Systems Engineer with deep expertise in IBM middleware technologies, particularly WebSphere, IBM BPM, and IBM Integration Bus. This role will focus on the deployment, configuration, and support of middleware solutions to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare program integrations, middleware architecture, and extensive experience with secure, high-availability solutions, as well as Oracle IAM integration and F5 load balancing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Middleware Product Management: Build, configure, deploy, and support IBM middleware products including WebSphere Application Server Network Deploy, IBM HTTP Server, IBM Business Process Manager (BPM), WebSphere Transformation Extender, IBM Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM), IBM MQSeries, and IBM Integration Bus.
• Software Family Support: Provide expert-level support for custom-developed software families such as ESB METS (IBM WebSphere & BPM, Informatica ActiveVOS), HHS Audit, HHS Content, HHS Notify, and Merative Cúram for MN DHS.
• High-Availability Systems: Design and implement secure, highly available, and recoverable systems utilizing F5 Big-IP load balancers for optimized load balancing and web security.
• Automated Deployment: Develop and utilize automated deployment scripts for WebSphere, BPM, ACE, and WTX applications using Jenkins and Ansible.
• Security Integration: Support integration between business program software and enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, particularly with Oracle IAM.
• System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor systems, respond to break/fix issues, troubleshoot server hardware, and resolve Operating System-related issues with corrective recommendations.
• Code Deployment & Updates: Deploy code updates and fix-packs for middleware and in-house applications according to testing and release schedules.
• Architecture Consistency: Maintain consistent architectural topologies across application environments while integrating application and infrastructure changes.
• Documentation & Reporting: Develop technical architecture design documents and provide regular updates to MNIT, MNsure, and DHS leadership.
• Project Management: Manage small to medium-sized projects and lead knowledge transfer initiatives to other team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in Informatica ActiveVOS: 5 years of experience installing, maintaining, and operating Informatica ActiveVOS.
• IBM Integration Bus / ACE: 5 years of experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), or WebSphere Message Broker.
• Healthcare Program Integration: 5 years of experience working with HHS Integration Software, including HHS Content, HHS Notify, and HHS Audit.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• IBM Architecture and Middleware: 8 years of experience in analysis, architectural design, or implementation of WebSphere Application Server Network Deploy topologies, IBM messaging software, IBM business process software, and IBM service bus software.
• Linux Administration & Scripting: 7 years of experience in Linux OS administration, operations, and scripting.
• Oracle IAM and Middleware: 6 years of experience working with IBM Middleware systems integrated with Oracle Identity and Access Management solutions.
• Merative Cúram: 6 years of experience working with Merative Cúram in healthcare environments.
• IBM Business Process Manager (BPM): 5 years of experience in IBM Business Process Manager or related software (e.g., Business Automation Workflow, WebSphere Process Server).
• F5 Big-IP Load Balancing: 4 years of experience working with F5 Big-IP solutions for load balancing and web service security management.
• IBM Collaborative Lifecycle Management: 3 years of experience in supporting and maintaining IBM CLM for change management.
