Overview
This position is responsible for the network infrastructure of all IGT PlayDigital RGS systems. The Senior Network Engineer installs, maintains, and evaluates network systems and communications in both on premise and cloud environments. Solves complex networking issues involving various factors. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Works with internal and external customers to uphold a professional relationship, as well as building positive relationships with third party vendors. This is a remote from home position.
This role will also do the following:
- Implement, maintain, and administer computer networks and related computing environments both on-prem and in cloud, including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and systems problems. Replacing faulty network hardware when required. Maintain SLAs and critical metrics.
- Network security, by coordinating, planning, and implementing data protection measures.
- Monitoring network performance and making adjustments when needed.
- Support and take ownership of ad-hoc projects. Delivering on agreed upon targets and deadlines.
- Detail new environments and changes to existing infrastructure.
- Participation in on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field of study
- 10+ years of networking experience in engineering support capacity
- Working knowledge of Transport Layer Security (TLS)
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and technology with and emphasis:
- WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, SNMP, BGP, OSPF
- VPN, MPLS, CSU/DSU, Routers, Switches, Firewalls
- Fiber optic and copper cabling
- 5+ years of experience with Fortinet Firewalls, and F5 & Citrix Load Balancers
- 5+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services WAN and LAN networking, as well as security groups and Elastic Load Balancers
- CCNA or equivalent required
- Experience configuring and managing switches, routers and firewalls; solve WAN connectivity issues
- Ability to anticipate and recommend future improvements/enhancements that could benefit network environment
- Will be required to provide ongoing technical training to PlayDigital personnel
- The real-time support environment is challenging and dynamic; requires the ability to multi-task.
- The position will require travel based on the business needs of the company.
- Must possess strong analytical skills; ability to perform with minimal supervision; possess good organizational skills; strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service and ability to adapt to change quickly.
- Must be able to work overtime as the need arises.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to obtain a gaming license in all required jurisdictions.
- Must have a valid passport or able to acquire one.
Background security investigation will be required.

- CCNP or equivalent
- Experience with Linux (CentOS/RedHat, and Ubuntu)
- Experience with VMWare ESXi 6 & 7
- Experience working with 3rd party technical support resources

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961-$164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
