Transnetyx is seeking a full-time Events Specialist. We are targeting someone to join our team located in Memphis, Tennessee. This role has the option to work remotely/hybrid. You will be in a collaborative role at the intersection of sales, marketing, and event production. You will work closely with the VP of Product Marketing & Design and internal stakeholders to develop and execute the creative and strategic direction for global conferences/trade shows and regional events and plan and facilitate Transnetyx-hosted events. You’ll work closely with partners to determine key events in a tiered structure and handle the end-to-end process (from registration to set-up and break-down logistics, etc.).
You'll lead with empathy, using industry knowledge, and a deep understanding of our internal customers to turn nuanced details and event logistics into outstanding event experiences that support our organization to drive leads and return on investment (ROI). You are responsible, proactive, and organized, have excellent time management skills, and have genuine interest and experience in high-visibility event production. You will model appropriate behavior as exemplified by the YX values, mission, and vision of Transnetyx.
Location: Near Headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee. This position has the option to work remotely but strong preference onsite as needed.

The Role (Essential Functions and Duties)
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- Leads the development and execution of the Transnetyx hosted event and tradeshow strategy, including tasks such as identifying key events and coordinating pre- and post-show communication.
- Collaborates with the VP of Product Marketing & Design to plan and staff customer and sponsor events at Transnetyx.
- Negotiates and executes contracts for both large-and small-scale events at Transnetyx.
- Analyzes, tracks, and reports on event ROI at Transnetyx using internal tools.
- Works closely with in-house designers to ensure that event displays accurately represent the Transnetyx brand.
- Takes ownership of ordering and tracking event inventory at Transnetyx, including collateral, giveaways, and other materials.
- Works with the Finance department to efficiently track and process invoices related to events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL BRING (Qualifications)
EDUCATION:
- Associate degree with a relevant technical certification.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a concentration in marketing, hospitality, project management, or other related fields is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Four or more years of event planning, hospitality management, marketing, or experience in relevant fields with solid service and administrative training.
- A background in science (chemistry, biology, engineering, etc.) is a plus.
- Visual and multimedia design experience is a plus.
SOFTWARE/TOOLS:
- Productivity: Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Data/Leads Management: PowerBi, Mixpanel, Google Analytics.
- Project Management: Jira/Confluence, Wrike, Monday, Trello, Asana, Formstack, HappyFox.
- Sales/Marketing: Salesforce, HubSpot, Survey Monkey, CMS.
- Finance: NetSuite, SAP Business, Workday, AvidBill, QuickBooks.

- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and third parties to ensure quality customer service.

- Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Must show strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to travel as needed to attend various events.
Physical Demands:
This position may involve sitting for prolonged periods of time, hearing, speaking, reaching, typing, lifting (up to 20lbs).
