Job description

At New Honor Society an ACD is a complete creative, responsible for leading a team in design excellence. The ACD collaborates with the CD in directing the team in accordance with the agency’s standards of quality and profitability, while exceeding client’s expectations.

SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

The Work:

  • Deliver innovative, on-brief design solutions with an advanced sense of craft and detail.
  • Deep understanding of brand architecture and expression
  • Manage projects from creative brief to execution — leading the team in brainstorms/development, shepherding the work to completion with constructive feedback, and presenting decisions with strategic mindset.
  • Deliver high-level presentations and engage in client communication
  • Expertly lead design across multiple channels and formats including digital, print, social, video, and animation
  • Keep abreast of evolving design and cultural trends; actively aware of emerging technology, sharing with the team as appropriate
  • Partner with account team and project management to better understand client’s business and determine the best resourcing to get the job done.

 

 The Team/Agency:

  • Partner with Creative Directors to produce conceptual, strategic design solutions for our clients
  • Mentor and supervise team while challenging them with new, innovative methods of design execution
  • Ensure healthy, positive creative team environment that contributes to overall agency culture
  • Contribute to new business pitches as needed
  • Assist in recruitment of new talent and act as ambassador for the agency
  • Thrive in a fast-moving, agile work environment

Experience/Credentials: 

  • Passionate, inspirational, organized and highly collaborative leader
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally, as well as teaching and mentoring others
  • Experience in supervising other creative professionals in an administrative capacity
  • Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Design
  • 6+ years progressive design experience (preferably in the advertising industry)

NHS has adopted a hybrid working environment. It is required for employees to be in office Tuesday-Thursday and can work from home Monday and Friday.
