Job description

Who are we?
UpGuard’s mission is to protect the world’s data. We obsessively seek out elegant, robust ways to enable our customers to find, acknowledge, and remediate cyber risk. With UpGuard, organizations leverage our security expertise and software to automate what was once laborious, spreadsheet-driven processes–whether it's monitoring the attack surface of hundreds of vendors or assessing the security of their own infrastructure. UpGuard is used by some of the world’s largest, fastest-growing, and most innovative companies.

The Marketing team at UpGuard includes multiple marketing and design functions, including Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Marketing Ops, Content Marketing, SEO, Community, Design, and Video. UpGuard’s vision is to become a leader in the markets we play in (Cyber VRM, Attack Surface Management) by providing a best-in-class SaaS platform for organizations to manage their third-party risk and external attack surface. Our purpose as a Marketing team is to facilitate this goal by growing UpGuard with a repeatable and scalable marketing engine and a leading brand.

Where does this role fit in?
The world of cybersecurity is rapidly evolving, and so are the ways we engage with our customers. As our company grows and our solutions become increasingly critical to businesses worldwide, we need someone to elevate how we bring our brand to life—both in person and online. The Senior Field Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping how we connect with key audiences at premier industry events like RSA and BlackHat while driving deeper engagement through cutting-edge webinars and virtual experiences.

We’re looking for a leader who can seamlessly blend the physical and digital worlds to create immersive, impactful marketing experiences. This role isn’t just about managing events—it’s about architecting memorable moments that tell our story, partner with our sales team, strengthen customer relationships, and showcase our innovations. If you’re someone who thrives on crafting unique experiences, loves working across teams, and can juggle multiple high-stakes projects without breaking a sweat, this is the opportunity for you.

What will you accomplish?
  • Lead and Inspire: Drive end-to-end execution of field marketing initiatives, blending large-scale in-person events like RSA and BlackHat with innovative virtual webinars while fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.
  • Be the Architect of Engagement: Develop and execute strategic marketing plans that bridge the gap between in-person field marketing events and digital experiences, ensuring seamless execution across multiple initiatives.
  • Own the Event Experience: Manage and deliver flawless, high-impact events. You’ll ensure that every aspect, from content to logistics, aligns with our brand’s vision and resonates deeply with our target audience.
  • Think Big, Move Fast: Juggle multiple projects and priorities effortlessly. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, creating programs that scale and deliver measurable results.
  • Champion Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, product, and customer success teams to align on objectives and create cohesive, holistic event strategies that drive awareness, generate demand, and deepen customer engagement.

  • What will you bring?
  • A Proven Track Record: 5+ years of experience in field marketing, with direct involvement in large industry events like RSA and BlackHat. Experience managing people, agencies, and vendors to produce exceptional experiences. Familiarity with cyber security or high-growth B2B SaaS is a bonus.
  • Multidisciplinary Expertise: A true full-stack marketer, comfortable across all aspects of field marketing—from field events and logistics to webinars and virtual experiences.
  • Incredible Project Management Skills: Experience running multiple, simultaneous marketing programs with flawless execution. You anticipate challenges and proactively solve them.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture and translate high-level business objectives into effective field marketing strategies.
  • Creative Leadership: You’re not just organized—you’re a creative problem-solver who finds new ways to delight customers and drive impactful business outcomes.

  • What will give you an edge?
  • Experience with High-Profile Industry Events: Deep familiarity with global cybersecurity events like RSA, BlackHat, and others in the tech space. You’re not just attending these events—you’ve played a hands-on role in shaping them.
  • Data-Driven Approach: You excel at using data to inform strategy and improve the impact of your campaigns. You’re comfortable with analytics and know how to turn insights into action.
  • Master of Storytelling: Whether through a live event or a webinar, you have the unique ability to craft and deliver narratives that captivate an audience and align with business goals.
  • Tech-savvy Innovator: You’re always one step ahead in adopting new technologies, platforms, and trends to enhance engagement, streamline execution, and push the envelope in field marketing.
  • Global Perspective: You have experience managing events or campaigns that engage a global audience, and you understand how to tailor messaging across different markets.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Challenges don’t scare you—they energize you. You foresee potential issues, tackle them head-on, and consistently deliver top-quality results.
