About The Right Team Member

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic communicator with a background in corporate communications and media relations who wants the opportunity to shape communication strategy across both the Mindbody & ClassPass. You’ll partner closely with domestic and global PR agencies in conjunction with the executive team to identify, plan, and execute key initiatives, from global expansion, to partnerships and product announcements, to brand campaigns, crisis responses, and more. Our ideal candidate is a dedicated team-player, proactive, and highly organized, with a talent for creative problem solving and driving projects to completion.

About The Role

  • Own PR & Communications for both Mindbody & ClassPass, driving development and execution of strategy that generates media coverage and conversation across consumer, lifestyle, business, and trade publications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful product launches, brand campaigns and earned media moments
  • Manage relationships with key journalists, influencers, thought leaders, and industry stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with external PR agencies, providing guidance and oversight to ensure alignment with brand messaging and objectives
  • Serve as counsel and support for Global PR initiatives, requests, and crisis communications
  • Develop compelling press materials, including press releases, media kits, and executive talking points
  • Develop briefing materials and coordinate logistics to prepare executives and/or company spokespersons for interviews and external speaking engagements
  • Assist in developing and executing crisis communication plans, ensuring timely and effective responses to media inquiries
  • Set, monitor, and analyze OKR performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Drive the creation of annual reports that provide media with timely and relevant data, testimonials and other exclusive content about industry trends, company performance, and consumer insights
  • Oversee PR budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize ROI on PR initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • 4-5 years of experience in communications or public relations, either in-house or with an agency
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, technical, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for various audiences across paid, earned, and owned channels
  • Experience leading multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, adapting to changing priorities when needed
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage relationships with media and influencers
  • Experience with crisis communications and a deep commitment to brand reputation
  • Experience setting, tracking, and reporting on OKRs to demonstrate the impact of communication efforts
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail, while operating effectively in a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment
  • A ‘Get It Done’ attitude and proven track record of managing projects from strategy to execution
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships
  • Strong judgment, a knack for diplomacy, and the confidence to engage and build consensus with stakeholders
  • Eagerness to monitor trends, competitor activity, and industry news to inform communication strategy

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

The base salary range for this position in the United States is $80,000 to $100,00. The total compensation package for this position may also include performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
