Lead Copywriter, Americas, Permanent

Position Overview:

The Lead Copywriter, Americas is responsible for crafting, leading, and executing our content strategy and style to enhance our brand visibility and comprehension. As the lead writer across the team, this role requires a creative and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of B2B digital content, brand management, and market trends in the technology space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital and brand content creation, copywriting, and a passion for storytelling.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Storytelling, Style Guide Creation, and QA:
  • Craft and refine IRIS’ B2B brand story, ensuring it is effectively communicated through all content channels.
  • Develop key messaging frameworks that resonate with different audience segments, across our various sectors and decision-maker personas.
  • Work closely with the global team to ensure cohesive storytelling across all customer touchpoints.
  • Performance Tracking and Optimisation:
  • Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for content initiatives and regularly analyse content performance using analytics tools.
  • Optimise content strategies based on data insights to improve engagement, lead generation, conversion rates, and brand loyalty.
  • Report on content effectiveness to senior leadership and adjust strategies to meet evolving business needs.
  • Collaboration and Influence:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align content efforts with overall company objectives.
  • Content Strategy Development:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with IRIS’ brand vision, business goals, and target audience.
  • Identify key content pillars and themes that resonate with our audiences and differentiate IRIS in the market.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, B2B marketing best practices, and emerging technologies to keep our content strategy innovative and effective.
  • Content Creation and Management:
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging, and relevant content across various digital platforms, including white papers, case studies, blogs, social media, various websites, and video content.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as demand marketing, product marketing, and creative, as well as wider business stakeholders, to produce compelling content that aligns with brand guidelines and delivers on ROI.
  • Manage the editorial calendar using Asana to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content that supports B2B marketing campaigns and business objectives.
  • Influence internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure content consistency and alignment with the brand’s strategic goals.
  • Act as a content expert and advisor to teams within the organisation, providing guidance on best practices and innovative approaches to content creation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a research and writing heavy related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • 6+ years of experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or brand management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing channels, SEO, content management systems (CMS), and analytics tools.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically, with strong project management skills.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams and managing content projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
