Reporting directly to the VP of Accounting and Controller, the Senior Cost Accountant will have full ownership of the cost accounting function, while gaining exposure to various aspects of the business. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of cost accounting and general accounting.

What You’ll Do:
  • Responsible for cost accounting, inventory valuation, overseeing the inventory count process, and recognition of revenue and cost of goods sold at fulfillment.
  • Work with the NetSuite team to implement NetSuite inventory modules appropriately for new entities and upgrade the current NetSuite inventory modules.
  • Work with the supply chain and sourcing functions to establish accurate materials costs, including ensuring landed costs are being appropriately allocated.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
  • Analyze inventory financial data and provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Lead the annual audit process for inventory related items and liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth and successful audit.
  • Drive process automation and system enhancements to streamline accounting operations.
  • Manage cash forecasting for supply chain vendors.
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience.
  • Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with landed cost strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
Additional Details: 
  • This is a full-time exempt position. Denver, Colorado preferred. Open to remote candidates
  • Targeted compensation range for this role: $90,000-$110,000 dependent upon experience.
