Job description

Global leader in the pharmaceutical market with American headquarters, recognised for their expertise in clinical and medical affairs. With a global employee base exceeding 20,000, they hold a pivotal position across APAC, EMEA and the Americas.

To enhance ER capability, the Global SSC Lead is hiring an Associate Director to spearhead all case management for EMEA. Removing ER from local HR, the Employee Relations Associate Director will report to the USA, lead the EMEA ER team of c13 across 7 countries and partner closely with the Global ER Director. In this role, you will take responsibility for the EMEA ER / case management capability, succession planning and understanding changing business requirements. Using a ticketing system, your team will be responsible for delivering all allocated cases, from standard grievances to complex individual cases and large restructures.

As the ER Lead for EMEA, you will be operating in a complex, matrix commercial business environment, and it is imperative that you can successfully deliver in such a business environment – you will have c8,000 employees in your population. As you will have to partner closely with the ER / CoE Global Director on strategy, as well as wider HR and business leaders, you will be experienced in developing senior relationships. Naturally, you will be an expert in employee relations and restructuring and be a skilled leader given the size, and cross-country element, of your ER / case advisory team.

Due to the international remit of this role, you will be able to work remotely with the odd trip to London, and the Associate Director's budget is £80,000 - £92,000 base.
