The Watts Internship Program is your chance to bring what you’ve learned in the classroom to life! It’s all about expanding your skills, challenging yourself, and exploring where your ambitions can take you! 

As the Cyber Security Intern you will learn how to work methodically in a detail-oriented way to dig into technical questions and examine them from all sides. You’ll be able to participate identification of real-world cyber security risks and incidents. Reporting to the Senior Manager Information Security, in this remote role you will learn how to collect and manage cyber security artifacts and how to read regulatory reports and translate for senior-level presentation.

What You'll Do

  • Provide first-level support for incident monitoring and investigations.

  • Help with the deployment and upkeep of information security tools and applications.

  • Review and update policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines documentation.

  • Plan, research, and support technical design for security solutions aligned with the strategic security plan.

  • Perform and oversee vulnerability scanning and security assessments to support risk management and audit activities.

  • Contribute to the improvement of information security reporting and metrics.

  • Establish configuration policies for security technologies.

  • Help establish security engineering processes and procedures, including conducting staff training.

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree as a Sophomore or Junior in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Science.

  • Passion for learning about cybersecurity and gaining hands-on experience.

  • Eagerness to collaborate with the team and contribute to real-world security initiatives.

  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity and respect in interactions with others, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment 

  • Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership of tasks and following through on commitments 

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and do not require sponsorship now or in the future  

The expected salary range for this position is $21 - $23 hourly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
