As an Audit Manager, you will be entrusted with the complete oversight of client engagements from initiation to conclusion. This pivotal role involves leading an audit team, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of exemplary work products. You will be responsible for crafting and managing intricate audit plans, allocating resources, meeting deadlines, and maintaining budgets across multiple complex audits and assessments simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute thorough test plans to accomplish designated audit or assessment objectives.
  • Supervise the daily management of project development and the audit team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Formulate and refine audit procedures to tackle intricate issues, while providing guidance on solution implementation.
  • Mentor and assess team members, leveraging your expertise to facilitate their professional growth.
  • Review and validate working papers and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Guarantee timely completion of engagements within established deadlines and budgetary constraints.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with client management, effectively managing their expectations regarding service quality, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Respond promptly and insightfully to client inquiries.
  • Exhibit exceptional project management skills while fostering teamwork among engagement team members.
  • Produce a range of communications, from informal emails to formal reports and presentations.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; a master's degree is preferred.
  • CPA required; additional certifications (MBA, CGFM, CDFM, CIA, CFR, PMP, or CISA) are advantageous.
  • Proven multitasking abilities and capacity to adhere to tight deadlines.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Superior leadership, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and adeptness in prioritizing multiple responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including 1-3 years at the managerial level or equivalent supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with government auditing standards, GAAS, and GAAP.
  • Knowledge of OMB circulars and experience with a variety of audits, including financial statement audits, performance audits, and compliance audits.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically, up to 10%.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required.
