Financial Reporting Analyst - Remote

Job Overview

As a Financial Reporting Analyst at Austin Powder, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our global finance team by providing essential financial and analytical insights across various business functions. This role is designed for individuals eager to contribute meaningfully to our financial processes and drive the company’s profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of monthly financial reports from all global subsidiaries prior to their integration into our financial consolidation software.
  • Conduct month-end analytical tasks utilizing income statements and product-driven data.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process, which includes preparing journal entries, contributing to the consolidation process using OneStream software, and performing account and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements and related reports, as well as analyze EBITDA trends.
  • Aid in the annual audit process by preparing workpapers and necessary documentation.
  • Maintain and generate visual data presentations for executive review.
  • Support the enhancement and development of our OneStream consolidation software across various functionalities.
  • Monitor capital expenditure projects against approved budgets while providing detailed analyses of new spending proposals.
  • Manage highly confidential information with the utmost integrity.
  • Contribute to monthly financial analysis and assist in the preparation of board meeting materials.
  • Participate in M&A activities, including due diligence and the integration of prospective acquisitions.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in the reliability and timeliness of our financial statements and reporting.
  • Uphold all company safety standards and participate in training as required.

Required Skills

  • Strong business acumen with progressive experience in accounting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and consolidation software.
  • Meticulous attention to detail coupled with robust analytical and research capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel along with competence in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with an awareness of when to escalate issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to convey information succinctly to various stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Experience with international entities is preferred.
