Job Overview

Join our dedicated team as the Director of Finance, where you will have the pivotal responsibility of leading our financial strategies to support our mission of transforming child welfare systems. Operating remotely, you will oversee a budget of $7 million, providing critical financial leadership and ensuring the organization’s financial health and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the leadership team, providing insights that facilitate informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with the Vice President of Finance and Operations in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, engaging program leaders to develop and monitor budgets.
• Manage cash flow and ensure liquidity to support organizational needs.
• Analyze financial data to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Develop financial models to bolster fundraising efforts.
• Represent the organization in financial matters to external stakeholders, including auditors and financiers.
• Maintain compliance with financial regulations and GAAP standards.
  
  

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in accounting, audit, and financial reporting, specifically within a complex nonprofit environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, audit procedures, and grants management.
• Proficiency in accounting and reporting software.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for varied audiences.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; CPA and/or MBA is highly preferred.

Compensation And Benefits

We provide a competitive salary range of \(122,000 - \)142,000, commensurate with experience.
