Remote Director of Finance and Accounting

Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Director of Accounting and Finance to join our dynamic team. As a key leader, you will oversee our financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and shape financial strategies across various entities within our organization. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with the VP of Finance and Accounting, contributing to our impressive growth trajectory fueled by recent acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and revenue recognition.
• Manage the consolidation and reporting of financials across multiple entities.
• Generate accurate monthly financial statements in a timely manner.
• Investigate technical accounting matters to maintain compliance.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure high-quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Analyze financial and operational data to highlight trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead various reporting initiatives, including decision support, metrics, and analytics.
• Play a pivotal role in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist in developing business cases for new investments and strategic initiatives.
• Oversee compliance with local, state, and federal reporting and tax requirements.
  
  

Required Skills

• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software, especially Sage Intacct.
• Advanced Excel skills, including expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Advanced degree in accounting is required.
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
