Job Overview

Join our esteemed agency, founded in 1989 by a committed group of community members, dedicated to delivering quality outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, and families in Vancouver, WA. We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Medical Director specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to oversee psychiatric operations and contribute to program development within our outpatient clinical framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychopharmacological evaluations for clients seeking medication services.
  • Provide non-face-to-face consultations via phone with healthcare professionals, clients, and families.
  • Review, prescribe, and monitor medications for clients, ensuring their unique needs are addressed.
  • Collaborate with licensed therapists, clinical and executive directors, and other prescribing staff to enhance service delivery.
  • Consult on program development initiatives aimed at improving mental health services for children and youth in the community.
  • Partner with the Executive Director to facilitate the supervision of psychiatry fellows, thereby enhancing access to care.
  • Provide training and case consultations as required.
  • Engage with local primary care providers and pediatricians to establish collaborative care models.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, including documentation and billing requirements.

Required Skills

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills essential for effective teamwork.
  • Proficiency in conducting comprehensive psychopharmacological evaluations and medication management.
  • Experience in program development and fostering community partnerships is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • A minimum of three to five years of direct practice experience with juvenile and young adult populations is preferred.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: \(250,000 to \)310,000 per year
