Remote VA Reviewer - Med/Surg (Tier 3) Registered Nurse

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Med-Surg to join our esteemed team as a VA Reviewer. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of clinical cases to evaluate the quality of care delivered.
• Offer medical opinions and insights to support the VA in its commitment to exceptional healthcare for veterans.
• Perform Facility Requested Reviews (FRRs) utilizing standardized evaluation criteria to ensure timely and appropriate care.
• Address non-standardized queries relevant to performance improvement metrics for various cases.
• Provide Medical Advisory Opinions (MAOs) addressing patient complaints or malpractice inquiries with thorough analysis.
  
  

Required Skills

• An active, unrestricted nursing license in any U.S. state or territory.
• At least 5 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg, with a minimum of 2 years in recent practice within this specialty.
• Continuous engagement in clinical practice with hospital privileges.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment while adhering to deadlines.

• A nursing degree from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated clinical experience and proficiency in Med-Surg nursing.

Compensation And Benefits

• Per Case Rates:
• Audits (FRRs): $95 per case
• Medical Advisory Opinions (MAOs): $225 per case
• One-time payment of $150 for obtaining the VA PIV card, a necessary requirement for this role.
• Note: Time spent on training for review tasks is not compensated.
