Job Overview

Join our esteemed organization, dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families, as a Community-Based Youth Clinical Therapist. In this pivotal role, you will deliver empathetic and individualized therapeutic services, addressing the distinct behavioral health needs of youth and their families. This position offers you the flexibility to engage with clients in varied environments, collaborating closely with case managers to ensure meaningful family involvement and sustainable progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic interventions, engaging directly with families multiple times each week.
  • Design and implement treatment plans while offering counseling services in accordance with state mandates and established agency guidelines.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of services delivered, ensuring compliance with agency policies and federal regulations while safeguarding client confidentiality.
  • Participate in a 24⁄7 on-call rotation, with premium compensation for call duties.
  • Effectively support children confronting intricate behavioral health challenges.

Required Skills

  • Profound understanding of mental health issues, including counseling techniques (both individual and group), assessment methodologies, and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Preferred experience in working with youth and families.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Capacity to be insured under the agency's commercial liability policy as a driver.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Current licensure in one of the following areas: LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC.
