Role: The Pre-Sales Consultant reports to the Director of Pre-Sales and works closely with the Sales and Product teams. The Pre-Sales Consultant thrives in a deadline-focused environment where taking the initiative, clear communication and flexibility are critical.  

Your Day with Equisoft:   

  • Perform client-facing presentations and product demonstrations of insurance solutions to all levels of personnel within a prospective organization.
  • Design and adapt each demonstration to meet specific clients’ needs while communicating applicable messages based on proposed solution and sales strategy.
  • Translate insurance product requirements into business and functional requirements that can be included in demonstrations.
  • Respond to RFPs and analyze complex demonstration scenarios and Proof of Concept requests.
  • Maintain current knowledge of markets, industry trends, competition, products and strategies.
  • Support fast paced cadence of work with parallel opportunities globally.

Requirements:   

Technical  

  • University Degree or commensurate experience, and the ability to communicate, write and synthesize information.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in presenting client-facing demonstrations
  • Strong autonomy and self-motivation are required with the ability to communicate progress and blockers in a timely manner.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Understanding of the software development cycle.
  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally.

  • Strong sense of organization and prioritizing.    
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.    
  • Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information.    
  • Ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced environment.   
  • Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor, and discipline. 

Nice to Haves:    

  • Experience within a sales team
  • Experience with back-office insurance carrier or distribution policy administration systems or agent sales tools such as CRM, e-applications or illustrations.
  • Experience with OIPA (Oracle Insurance Policy Administration) or Equisoft products is an asset.
  • Some technical knowledge is an asset.
  • Knowledge of French is an asset. (spoken and written)
