About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our remote team and lead the delivery of e-commerce projects. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple e-commerce projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in managing client-facing, global e-commerce projects.

What you’ll do

Project Management:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple e-commerce projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage project resources, including internal team members, external vendors, and third-party contractors, to ensure optimal project outcomes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including development, design, QA, and business stakeholders, to drive project progress and resolve issues.

Stakeholder Communication and Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Effectively communicate project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders at all levels.

Risk Management and Issue Resolution:

  • Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize their impact on project delivery.
  • Proactively address project issues and conflicts, working closely with team members and stakeholders to find timely and effective solutions.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Monitor project budgets and resource allocations, ensuring projects are delivered within budget constraints.
  • Optimize resource utilization and allocation to maximize project efficiency and effectiveness.

Quality Assurance and Delivery Excellence:

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular quality reviews and performance evaluations to ensure deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.

Process Compliance:

  • Follow and maintain best-in-class and industry-standard processes for project delivery, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Continuously assess and improve existing processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness, incorporating industry best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.

Mentorship and Training:

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project managers, assisting in their professional development and growth.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to share best practices and knowledge with junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Resource Negotiation:

  • Negotiate for resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget allocations, to support project requirements and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management and department.

Agile Ceremonies:

  • Facilitate and run Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to drive project progress and collaboration.
  • Work closely with cross-functional Agile teams to prioritize and deliver features and enhancements that align with client needs and project goals.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Create and manage weekly status reports and burn reports, providing stakeholders with transparent insights into project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Analyze project data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, proactively addressing potential roadblocks to project success.
