The opportunity

Responsibilities

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Accounting Manager to join our Finance team in our Plymouth, MN office. This position drives execution of corporate finance strategies and support related to reporting, analysis and coordination of Global Specialty Lines, IFRS/ U.S. Statutory Accounting, Global Network U.S., as well as Distribution/ MGA segment. Responsible for U.S. Accounting Policy, including STAT and IFRS/GAAP, coordination of U.S. IFRS consolidation within PeopleSoft, and submission through FCCS system to parent. Dynamic role with mix of finance and accounting responsibilities where individual is a key driver of ad hoc request, including special projects, M&A support, etc. Leads a team of key individuals to deliver superior results to multiple stakeholders. Some of the Senior Accounting Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develops departmental business plans for the Finance Department to achieve Corporate Reporting objectives. Creates and ensures standards, policies and procedures that maximize efficient operations, data maintenance and collection, analysis and results.
  • Reviews monthly and quarterly financial reports, outlooks, models and other relevant information to provide senior managers with up to date results, analysis, and projections. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of Financial deliverables.
  • Oversees and ensures the collection, analysis and maintenance of financial information relevant to department or section within established procedures and standards. Ensures that associates have access to the proper tools to reach stated goals and to continuously improve job performance.
  • Maintains and supervises communications and data distribution with and between Finance, field offices and other departments. Assures cooperation on regular activities and special projects within established procedures and standards.
  • Manages staff development, including training, technical guidance, performance evaluation, and direction regarding policies and procedures.

The expertise you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree, Post-Graduate may be required.
  • CPA certification required, exceptions for limited situations and strong performers.
  • 7-10 years of related experience, with 5-7 years in a supervisory role.

Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires, but your recruiter will share more specific compensation information with you during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $147,000 – $184,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Hoboken, NJ; and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $160,000 -$187,000. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include but not limited to:
