About the role:

Intermedia is looking for a talented and energetic Java Developer with experience deploying and building microservices to join our team, building applications and tools to support a fast-growing UCaaS company. You will be a member of the Voice team, helping to extend and enhance our award-winning SaaS VoIP product and its OSS and BSS. You will play a crucial role in helping to solve challenging technical problems and developing solutions that will directly impact our business and its customers.

What you will be doing:


  • Green Field project to move functionalities from an existing legacy system to a new Microservices architecture:
    • Design, Document, Develop and Maintain the new architecture
    • Coordinate and work with QE regarding testing strategies and CI Pipelines
    • Coordinate and work with DevOps to set up Continuous Deployment and Observability
  • You will have significant opportunities to contribute to the design and architecture of the system as well as help facilitate technical decisions

What you will bring to the role:


  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent related work experience
  • 3+ years as a Software Developer with proven experience with Java 11 or later and Spring framework/Spring Boot
  • Web Services development experience with REST & SOAP
  • Working experience with Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with container-based development (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment
  • Strong knowledge of Git version control System (GitLab, Bitbucket, etc)
  • Hands-on experience writing clean and testable code (unit testing)
  • Ability to understand someone else's code
  • Good analytical skills
  • Outstanding communication skills (English), proactive, problem solver, team player


Desired Qualifications


  • Understanding of Microservices architectures and design patterns
  • Knowledge of Kafka or other distributed streaming system / event bus
  • CI/CD Pipeline experience
  • Knowledge of NoSQL technologies
  • Knowledge in some FE framework (React, Vue, Angular or other)
