Job description

Role 

Finance Assistance: reporting to the Finance Controller, will be responsible for the finance function of 5 entities within the Clinical & Commercial Pharma Division of the Uniphar Group; Uniphar Commercial UK, Uniphar People UK, Uniphar Pharma BV, Uniphar Pharma Nordics and Uniphar Commercial E4H. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of all transactions. 

Responsibilities  

  • Processing and paying expenses 

  • Creating and maintaining billing trackers 

  • Billing (external & internal) 

  • Credit Control 

  • Weekly Aged Debt analysis  

  • Updating and maintaining statement of works and purchase orders 

  • Month end reporting 

  • Agreeing intercompany balances with Uniphar group entities  

  • Any additional ad hoc duties  

 

Candidate Requirements 

  • Experience working with multi-functional disciplines including non-financial managers 

  • Demonstrated and proven ability to work within a team to achieve common goals 

  • Experience in the implementation of best in class Financial controls and procedures 

  • Ability to work with significant volumes of data to investigate and arrive at a point which allows an information-based decision to be made. 

  • Ability to work on their own to deliver results within a short period of time. 

  • Demonstrate good communication skills when dealing with key stakeholders. 

  • Previously worked in an environment of cross company re-charges an advantage. 

  • Strong IT skills – Office 365 suite 

  • Experience with SAP and Xero an advantage 

  • Self-starter ability to identify & resolve problems 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work at all levels in a large organisation, inside and outside of the finance function 

  • Ability to work with significant volumes of data to investigate and arrive at a point which allows an information-based decision to be made  

  • Practical, organised and results focused 

  • Someone who enjoys working in a team with other motivated people who like to get the job done.
