We have an opportunity to join the high-profile, fast-paced Internal Audit team.

As the Safety Audit Manager your primary objective is to support the delivery of Internal Audit (IA) objectives. This role will lead the safety audit team providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services to add value and improve operations across the Endeavour Group.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • The primary objective of this role is to develop, plan and manage the Safety, Health & Wellbeing Assurance Program and provide independent and objective assurance of compliance with processes and procedures, strategies, plans and objectives. 
  • Reporting to the Senior Audit Manager - Store & Hotel Operations, you will support the delivery of IA objectives, which are providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and improve the organisation's operations. 
  • You will also bring a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and test the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance processes.
  • You'll lead and conduct assurance engagements, supporting management in delivering the annual audit plan, and providing coaching to team members. 
  • This role will also ensure that safety, health and workers compensation self insurance licence requirements are met in line with Board and State licensing requirements.
  • The Safety Audit Manager will also provide advisory services and promote continuous improvement in safety performance and safety management systems within the Endeavour Group.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

  • You will be commercially minded and an experienced Safety Audit Manager on a permanent basis;
  • Tertiary qualified in Safety, Health & Wellbeing (Essential);
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience required with equivalent position being Manager / Senior Manager with Environment, Health & Safety / operational audit experience (Highly Desirable);
  • 5+ years experience in auditing Safety, Health & Wellbeing Management Systems (Highly Desirable); 
  • Previous operational experience in retail stores and or hotels (Desirable);
  • Ability to provide recommendations for integrating Safety, Health & Wellbeing management systems into business practices;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to both business and store and hotel operations as required;
  • Ability to interpret & analyse data;
  • Ability to work with teams of auditors and managers;
  • Ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders; and
  • Strong problem solving aptitude, with an attention to detail.
