DevOps Engineer - Remote

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned engineer to join our Enterprise Data Platform team as a DevOps engineer, reporting to the Capability Lead – QA & DevOps. As a key member of McAfee’s enterprise data platform team, you will be responsible for DevOps activities on the Databricks platform.

This role requires a deep understanding of:
· Platform management
· DevOps best practices
· Platform automation
· CI/CD
· Uptime management


This is a Remote position located in India. We are only considering candidates located in India and are not providing relocation at this time.

About the role:

• Manage, maintain, and oversee DevOps activities on the Databricks platform
• Act as responsible party for the reliability and uptime of the platform; manage the platform to minimize downtime and ensure high availability and reliability
• Manage and implement configuration of Databricks clusters and version control and oversee deployments
• Optimize Databricks workload performance
• Manage notebook version control system
• Provide oversight and thought leadership on quality automation, RPA, and data observability on the platform
• Maintain and manage infrastructure for platform tools such as Collibra
• Support access & provisioning management
• Ensure adherence to SDLC best practices

About you: 

• Bring 4+ years of experience in DevOps, platform management, automation, and site reliability engineering
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, or related field
• Have hands-on experience with and understanding of the following:
  • Platform reliability
  • Collibra or other data catalog tool
  • Spark/Scala
  • SQL/SparkSQL
  • Access management & provisioning
  • Python/PySpark or similar programming language
  • Databricks
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Agile
  • Git and version control
