Job Purpose:
We are seeking a proactive and creative Marketing Coordinator to help enhance our online presence and engage with our community in Australia and New Zealand. This role will involve collaboration with various teams to create impactful marketing materials, manage social media campaigns, and support our Business Development Executives (BDEs). The ideal candidate will develop professional expertise with a solid understanding of team and department goals and operations, seeking continuous growth and learning opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development Team Assistance:
    • Collaborate with the BDE team to develop engaging webinar presentations and social media content.
    • Support the BDEs with marketing materials that resonate with our target audience.
  2. Social Media Management:
    • Create and manage social media campaigns tailored to the Australian and New Zealand markets, fostering engagement with customers.
    • Build and maintain relationships with Australian travel bloggers, influencers, and journalists to amplify our brand presence.
  3. Blogging and Content Creation:
    • Write blogs and travel guides specifically for the AU market, highlighting unique rail experiences and destinations.
    • Develop video content showcasing Australian and New Zealand trains and destinations for editing and distribution.
  4. Marketing Coordination:
    • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with regional sales leaders in Australia, ensuring alignment of marketing efforts with their needs and priorities.
    • Gather and share feedback from sales leaders to refine marketing strategies.
    • Proofread and edit all marketing collateral, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
    • Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns targeted at the Australian market.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for seamless campaign execution.
  5. Additional Responsibilities:
    • Order trade show materials in collaboration with the AU BDE team and local suppliers.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform marketing strategies.
    • Update and maintain Kaptio alongside the marketing team for effective customer relationship management.
    • Represent the marketing team and uphold brand guidelines, unique selling propositions (USPs), and key messaging.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing or a related field.
  • Experience in public relations or marketing is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of the travel industry, particularly in Australia and New Zealand, is an advantage.
