Job Overview

Join our innovative cybersecurity firm as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Linux. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to advancing our acclaimed Open XDR (Extended Detection and Response) platform, recognized by Gartner as a leader in the cybersecurity domain. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain resilient, low-footprint sensor software tailored for various Linux distributions, including Ubuntu, CentOS, and Red Hat Enterprise.
• Design and execute high-quality, efficient code in a multi-threaded/multi-process context to seamlessly integrate customer data into our XDR platform.
• Continuously refine the performance of existing sensor software to optimize resource utilization.
• Create scripts for deploying the Linux sensor within client environments.
• Conduct independent analysis and resolution of sensor-related customer issues.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python, C/C++, Shell scripting, Go, Ruby, or Java.
• Familiarity with key network protocols such as VXLAN, ICMP, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and HTTP.
• Experience in performance tuning within Linux systems.
• Knowledge of Network IDS, IPS, and Network Security Monitoring engines (e.g., Suricata) is advantageous.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant software engineering experience, or a Master's/PhD with at least 2 years in cybersecurity-related fields.
• A collaborative team member with a proactive, positive attitude.
• Self-driven, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership, and effective in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Previous experience in a startup is a plus.
