Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable data solutions, prioritizing system reliability and performance.
• Offer technical leadership throughout the stages of definition, development, integration, testing, documentation, and support across multiple platforms, particularly utilizing GCP, Python, and Machine Learning.
• Create and maintain a standardized project management framework to facilitate high-quality software delivery through iterative processes.
• Engage in collaborative development, encompassing the design, troubleshooting, and debugging of software applications, databases, and tools.
• Balance the stability of production environments with timely feature delivery and the mitigation of technical debt across various technologies.
• Champion quality standards, demonstrating your commitment to excellence in every deliverable.
• Leverage your expertise in statistical and machine learning models, as well as technologies including:
• GCP, Python, Hadoop, Spark, Scala, and data streaming technologies (Pub/Sub, Kafka)
• Data warehouses, distributed data platforms, and data lakes
• Database design, schema definitions, Looker Views, and Models
• Data structures, algorithms, and CI/CD processes
• Foster a culture of superior code quality, system reliability, and performance within the engineering team.
• Exhibit strong analytical problem-solving capabilities to tackle complex, multi-dimensional challenges.
• Adapt seamlessly within a dynamic environment, effectively collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  

Required Skills

• Proven proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Scala, Python).
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
