Job Title: Materials Demand Planner (Supply Chain/Procurement) - Remote | WFH

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Materials Demand Planner to join our esteemed aerospace organization based in Long Beach, CA. In this crucial role within our supply chain team, you will be instrumental in facilitating the timely and efficient procurement of materials essential for our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate across departments to accurately assess material demand and maintain supply chain visibility.
Develop and oversee material requirement signals to guide procurement strategies.
Manage the Clear to Build process, ensuring cohesive alignment between Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Test, and Launch teams.
Formulate allocation strategies for constrained or at-risk materials based on corporate priorities.
Generate precise material forecasts to assist in informed procurement decisions.
Participate in the development and execution of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.

Required Skills

Strong grasp of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and methodologies.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
Exceptional communication and teamwork capabilities.
Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Experience thriving in fast-paced settings with tight deadlines.
Prior exposure to the aerospace or frontier technology sectors is advantageous.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2-10 years of experience in material planning, demand planning, or fulfillment planning, specifically within a high-paced manufacturing context.
