Job description

Job Overview

Join our esteemed organization as a Medical Director and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, where your expertise will play a vital role in shaping the mental health services for youth. In this pivotal position, you will provide psychiatric leadership and influence the development of innovative programs, all within a collaborative outpatient clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychopharmacological evaluations to ascertain suitable medication services for clients.
  • Deliver non-face-to-face consultations via phone with various stakeholders including physicians, pharmacies, clients, and caregivers.
  • Oversee the medication management process by reviewing, prescribing, and monitoring client medications.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all client interactions in compliance with clinic protocols.
  • Collaborate in the design and implementation of new initiatives aimed at enhancing mental health services for children and adolescents.
  • Partner with the Executive Director to form a psychiatry fellowship program, facilitating on-site supervision for fellows and improving access to care.
  • Provide professional guidance and training for staff upon request.
  • Coordinate with primary care providers and pediatricians to optimize client care.
  • Participate in the agency's Quality Management initiatives as required.
  • Offer availability for after-hours consultations as necessary.
  • Contribute expert insights on diagnostic impressions and psychopharmacological recommendations.
  • Prepare and maintain clinical case records, ensuring adherence to confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Ensure all billing and documentation satisfy Medicaid, insurance, and licensing regulations.
  • Uphold state and federal licensing standards, including completion of continuing education units (CEUs).

Required Skills

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong collaborative abilities within a diverse team of professionals.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three to five years of direct practice experience with juvenile and young adult populations is preferred.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Salary Range: \(250,000 to \)310,000 per year.
