Remote Nurse Practitioner for Virtual Care

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our innovative team focused on Virtual Patient Care. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work approximately 10 hours per week while delivering quality healthcare to a diverse patient population in a supportive virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging initial intake evaluation video visits with new patients aged 18 and older, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for their healthcare journey.
• Perform thorough holistic assessments, review lab results, and prescribe weight loss medications, specifically GLP-1 agonists, as appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with patients through our patient portal and asynchronous chat, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and providing essential guidance.
• Oversee prescription refills and actively manage chronic conditions to support ongoing patient health and wellness.
  
  

Required Skills

• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in at least four of the following states: AZ, CA, FL, GA, IL, MA, MI, NY, OH, PA, TX, with residency in one of the licensed states.
• Board Certified (AGNP-BC or FNP-BC) by either the ANCC or AANP.
• Preferred experience of at least 2 years in independent practice as an NP.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in weight loss medicine, particularly with GLP-1 agonists, is favorable.
• Proficient in prescribing compound medications.
• Background in Internal or Family Medicine is advantageous.
• Experience managing complex chronic conditions is preferred.
• Familiarity with telemedicine or virtual care is a plus.
