As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our core API integrations and data processing pipelines, while also contributing to feature development for our platform..
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Develop Integrations & Features: Implement API integrations to connect with customers' CRM systems and build features that enhance our platform's functionality.
● Data Management: Create ETL processes for transforming and managing data from various sources (API, S3), and optimize large-scale data pipelines.
● Event-Based Systems: Manage webhook subscriptions and event-driven triggers to keep data synchronized in near real-time.
● Collaboration: Partner with the data science team to automate data flows and ensure seamless data availability for machine learning models.
● Business Logic Layer: Implement business rules and logic to generate insights and handle notifications sent through customers’ communication channels.
● Build & Maintain APIs: Design secure and optimized RESTful APIs to support frontend interactions and backend processes.
● Scale & Optimize: Enhance system performance and scalability to support business growth.
Requirements
● 5+ years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer.
● Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
● Proficiency in NestJS (or similar Node.js frameworks).
● Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
● Strong knowledge of API integration, webhooks, and event-based architectures.
● Cloud experience: Familiarity with both Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
● Data pipeline experience: Building and optimizing ETL processes for large datasets.
● Advantage - experience developing frontend components (Vue, React).
● Advantage - DevOps knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and infrastructure management.
