Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to take on a leadership role within our expanding Restaurant Operations Features team. In this critical position, you will spearhead the development and improvement of our Inventory, Recipes, and Enterprise reporting features, equipping restaurant owners with the insights necessary to optimize their operations. Your efforts will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and success of thousands of restaurants across North America.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the scaling of our restaurant management features utilizing cloud technologies to support our anticipated growth.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to strategize, define, and enhance our product offerings.
• Create robust back-end services and user-friendly front-end interfaces for high-volume features.
• Provide mentorship to fellow engineers on industry best practices in system development.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and implement feedback to boost security, reliability, and scalability.
• Recognize security vulnerabilities in code and develop secure solutions.
• Lead discussions on architectural and solution design, ensuring our infrastructure remains performant and maintainable.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to address any critical issues.
• Engage with customer challenges to deliver an exceptional user experience.
• Investigate new technologies and impart knowledge to team members to encourage innovation.
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5-10 years of relevant software development experience.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and tackle new challenges independently.
• Strong empathy for customer experience and a desire to influence product direction.
• Production experience with AWS infrastructure.
• Familiarity with load testing, debugging, CI/CD, and related disciplines.
• A customer-oriented focus and a passion for restaurant technology.
• A Master’s degree in Computer Science is preferred.
