Remote Project Manager for UAV Remote Sensing

Key Responsibilities

• Directly oversee the planning, development, and successful execution of UAV initiatives.
• Manage the scheduling and performance metrics of multiple UAV projects and team members.
• Determine project scope and actively engage in contract negotiations.
• Formulate and track project budgets, implementing corrective measures when necessary.
• Lead the team in establishing database and schema requirements for UAV services.
• Supervise UAV flight requests, pilot assignments, and data acquisition processes, including Mapping, Photography, Video, and LiDAR.
• Maintain operational oversight of UAV flight and processing software, fostering relationships with partners such as SkySkopes, DroneDeploy, and Pix4D.
• Engage in business development activities, including RFP responses, presentations, and proposal preparations.
• Organize project assignments and manage UAV technicians and specialists.
• Analyze data obtained from remote sensing platforms to extract actionable insights.
• Support the development and design of remote sensing applications in alignment with project objectives.
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Computer Science, GIS, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in relevant GIS and/or UAV domains.
• Remote Pilot Certification is essential.
• Preferred Remote Sensing Certification.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional time management, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Expertise in ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and associated application extensions.
• Familiarity with data management in Relational Database Management Systems.
• Knowledge of data analytics, advanced visualization techniques, and Big Data.
• Experience with web-based GIS services and mapping tools.
