Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Web Developer to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in the development and enhancement of web applications, focusing on the migration and refactoring of both existing backend and frontend systems. You will play a key role in establishing best practices that promote sustainability and maintainability in our applications.

Key Responsibilities

Migrate and refactor the current Flask backend to FastAPI while documenting best practices to ensure knowledge transfer and sustainability.
Transition the existing Flask-based frontend to a contemporary JavaScript framework, implementing robust testing and development methodologies for future scalability.
Assess the current data model, ORM, and CRUD operations to confirm adherence to industry best practices, updating the database and data models as needed.
Develop sustainable development frameworks, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Continuously support and enhance the functionality of web applications, aligning development efforts with stakeholder requirements.

Required Skills

Expertise in developing RESTful APIs utilizing modern Python web frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Starlite, with experience in Python version 3.9 or higher.
Proficient in creating reusable CRUD operations through Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools, such as SQLAlchemy.
Strong grasp of contemporary JavaScript front-end frameworks and development best practices (e.g., React, Vue).
Familiarity with comprehensive testing, development standards, and documentation practices for web applications.
A foundational understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles.

Qualifications

Proven experience in full-stack web application development with a focus on both backend and frontend technologies.
Demonstrated history of successfully managing migration and refactoring tasks in previous roles.
