Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Database Engineer to join our innovative team in a remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust database systems that ensure the integrity and security of critical data.
  • Assist users in efficiently retrieving data to support their operational needs.
  • Enhance database performance through comprehensive query analysis, indexing, and effective resource management.
  • Implement automation for database management tasks utilizing CI/CD methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any production database challenges that may arise.
  • Engage in data integration projects, with experience in ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
  • Oversee database security measures and authentication protocols.
  • Continuously maintain and upgrade existing database frameworks.
  • Conduct unit testing and participate in code review processes.
  • Adhere to evolving best practices in database management and development.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with SQL Server, TSQL, database development, and administration.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational database management.
  • Strong skills in network performance modeling and benchmarking.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, particularly C#.
  • Comprehensive understanding of database server architecture, including query plans and tuning parameters.
  • Ability to work autonomously while also being an effective team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with both clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
