Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our esteemed team as a Program Manager for the DrPH Program within the Department of Social Behavioral and Population Science. In this pivotal position, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the academic and administrative success of advanced-level DrPH students, ensuring their educational journey is both enriching and rewarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor student progress through the Applied Practice Experience (APE) and Integrated Learning Experience (ILE) processes.
  • Collaborate with APE/ILE faculty to establish Canvas sites, maintain accurate documentation, and assist with formal signature tracking.
  • Coordinate with the DrPH Academic Advisor and Program Manager to guarantee the timely completion of APE/ILE requirements, supporting a seamless graduation process.
  • Leverage digital management tools to effectively oversee student tracking and documentation tasks.
  • Develop and sustain a comprehensive database of DrPH APE site placements, preceptor details, and alumni contacts to foster a robust support network for current and prospective students.
  • Organize the SBPS & DrPH Speaker Series, ensuring engaging virtual components and meticulous oversight of all logistical elements, from securing speakers to coordinating technical assistance.
  • Assist faculty and students in navigating the Concur Travel & Reimbursement platform by creating documentation and troubleshooting any issues to facilitate travel experiences.
  • Provide administrative support for various initiatives and projects as necessary, promoting teamwork within the SBPS department.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree with two years of pertinent experience in program coordination or project/event management, ideally with a public health focus. Alternatively, a High School Diploma/Equivalent with six years of relevant experience is acceptable.
  • Preferred qualifications include two or more years of administrative experience in a post-secondary academic institution with a student-facing focus, along with familiarity with public health, either through a relevant degree (BPH, MPH, DrPH, PhD) or work experience.
