What you’ll do
MetaMask has experienced explosive user growth over the past year as a cryptographic key manager and web3 application development platform. As this user base continues to grow, an immense amount of trust is being placed in MetaMask as a tool that manages and wields their digital authority, controlling assets, identities and more. It is of highest importance to us that we keep our users as safe and secure as possible.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join MetaMask Product Safety team. As a Senior Software Engineer you will focus on crafting and embedding innovative safety features into MetaMask, playing a key role in safeguarding our users and their assets. Your contributions will be essential in minimizing incidents of fund loss and enhancing the overall security and trustworthiness of MetaMask, a leading Ethereum blockchain wallet.
Would be great if you brought this to the role
- A strong track record in software engineering, with significant experience in developing secure, scalable software solutions, particularly with modern Javascript (ES6/TypeScript/etc.).
- 4+ years of experience developing medium to large-scale applications across the entire stack with minimal tech debt through sensible abstractions, testing, linting, and adherence to coding/web standards.
- Hands-on experience with at least one: React, Vue, or Angular.
- Strong understanding of web-based security threats and prevention techniques.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactiveness and be self-driven to be successful working in a remote environment.
- A commitment to user safety, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential security issues before they impact our users.
